In our first episode, Will sits down with the founder of Compassionate Las Vegas, Dr. Gard Jameson. Dr. Jameson received his Ph.D. from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2005. He teaches Chinese and Indian Philosophy in the Philosophy Department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Prior to his tenure at UNLV, he spent 25 years practicing as a CPA. He is the author of several books, including The Peace Pilgrim Pictures which we talk about on this episode.
Gard helped found and chairs the boards of the Children's Advocacy Alliance and the Interfaith Council of Southern Nevada. He is the founder and inspiration behind the Jameson Fellows.
Along with his wife, Gard organized and founded Volunteers in Medicine in Southern Nevada (www.vmsn.org). He also helped found the Nevada Community Foundation.
Our work is made possible with his support and encouragement.
